At Subaru of North Miami, we have an unmatched commitment to our customers. We want to support the entire community as much as we can, and we do everything in our power to make sure we're giving back. Over the years, we've donated over $15 million, and we set our goal higher every year. We choose our charity donations based on what will most help our community. Whether it's giving back to children in need, or conserving our beautiful forests across the country, Subaru of North Miami is here to help. Our loving community involvement begins with you--and we've got plenty of incentives to offer to make that process even easier.
Where Does Our Money Go?
We don't just donate to one single charity. We open our arms to several causes, all of which are important to the Subaru of North Miami staff. We have a Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment that drives us towards supporting the charities we hold closest to our hearts. Here are just a few examples:Meals on Wheels helps deliver meals to the less-fortunate elderly, and local chapters all work hard to alleviate senior hunger across the country.The ASPCA goes above and beyond for the animals of our community, by pushing for more humane laws, rescuing animals from abusive situations, supporting community shelters, and more! After their service over the course of 145 years, we want to thank them with donations fueled by our customers.The Special Olympics gives the opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities to experience a sense of accomplishment and community. With every donation, they're able to create new and exciting challenges to further their mission.American Forests is the longest running conservation non-profit in the country, and they're one of the most successful. We donate what we can to ensure our forests are protected, and our wildlife continues to thrive.
Successful Past Events
Over the years, we've hosted numerous successful charity events for our customers. These are where we gather most of our charity funds, and it's where you can make a big difference. Some of our most successful events include Save a Life, which gave the opportunity for our customers to adopt a new dog into their family. Our Car Show 4 Charity also supported our local animal population, working with A Better Life Dog Rescue to create an exciting charity event for our customers. To support our local schools, we worked with Communities in Schools to gather supplies for underprivileged students in need. Paul Castronovo's 50/50 Draw in support of Farm Share
Concept and Mission
The Paul Castronovo Show has a proud history of raising money to help hunger. In 2022 we launched our first 50/50 Draw and sold a total amount of tickets exceeding $122,000. Half of this money was donated to Farm Share to fight food insecurity, and the other half went to the lucky winner.
What is Farm Share
Established in 1991 as a food bank, Farm Share is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works daily to make sure that food-insecure Floridians receive the food and support they need. To accomplish this task, Farm Share partners with more than 2,000 food pantries, churches, schools and other nonprofits throughout Florida to distribute food every single day.
Winners Announced!
Ticket sales for The Paul Castronovo 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Share closed this morning at 10am with an incredible total of $188,330. On the show Friday morning, Stephen Shelley the CEO of Farm Share said their portion will provide more than 700,000 meals. That’s at least 1 meal for every person in need in THE STATE OF FLORIDA! The greatest promotion in the history of Big 105.9 comes to a dramatic conclusion this morning! Paul, Heather, and Mike announced the winner of $94,165 at 8:20am. That will be the biggest single cash Prize handed out in Miami Radio history, surpassing the 2022 total of $61,057 from the very first Paul Castronovo 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Share.
